REDWOOD CITY, Calif. - Dec. 4, 2006 - PacketHop, Inc., the leader in instant broadband mobile-mesh communications systems, today announced that President and Chief Executive Officer Michael Howse will speak at the Churchill Club at the Santa Clara Convention Center.
Howse is speaking on a panel, titled "WiMAX - Enabling Next-Generation Broadband Services," which will be held on Tuesday, Dec. 5, from 6:00 to 7:30 p.m. PDT. The panel will be moderated by Cliff Edwards, senior technology correspondent for BusinessWeek magazine, and provide an overview of the WiMAX market, its relationship to other wireless technologies, what's driving demand for next-generation broadband networks, and new business opportunities and consumer benefits.
Howse will highlight how users are creating high demand for next-generation broadband networks through increased content creation like real-time video. He will discuss how users can utilize mobile-mesh communications at the edge of a network to share real-time video and other information to offload congestion on the network.
